Ma’had Tahfidzul Qur’an Muhammadiyah Ali Bin Abi Thalib Seyegan is an Islamic boarding school established in 2024 as an extension of the Muhammadiyah Orphanage in Seyegan, which has served the community since 2006. The ma’had aims to provide orphanage graduates with a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge, including Qur’an and Hadith memorization, da’wah, Arabic, Islamic history, and Muhammadiyah values.
Founded through collaboration between PRM Margoagung, PCM Seyegan, and the orphanage, the ma’had was officially recognized by PCM Seyegan via Decree No. 39/Kep/Iv.O/B/2024, appointing its management for the 2024–2029 period. Despite its recent establishment, the ma’had has earned strong community support. Parents have entrusted their children’s religious education to the institution, and students (santri) have shown high enthusiasm, especially in memorizing the Qur’an and Hadith. In its first year, the ma’had achieved notable success. Some students memorized up to 15 juz of the Qur’an, while others excelled in pencak silat competitions and arts activities.
The ma’had promotes values of compassion, solidarity, and care, inspired by Islamic teachings and hadiths emphasizing brotherhood and kindness to orphans. Our vision: To form a Qur’anic generation with the creed of Salafus Shalih, ready to carry out da’wah and the missions are : Provide integrated Qur’an-based education, develop da’i/da’iyah, and shape strong, complete Muslims.
